My Choice is MS Dhoni considering what he achieved with weak bowling attack india ever had , his cool tactics are the major reason why our mediocre bowling attack done well

 

The Reasons for chosing MSD:

 

1. India’s most successful captain in Test cricket with 27 wins in 60 matches.

2. Did not lose any of his first 11 Tests – longest unbeaten streak for any player since making captaincy debut

3. Holds the Indian record of most wicketkeeping dismissals in Tests – 294.

4. Is the only Indian keeper to score 4000 runs and effect 200 dismissals in tests.

5. Under Dhoni India won six consecutive Tests between February and November 2013 – the longest winning streak for any Indian captain.

6. Led India to number one position in ICC rankings in Test cricket for the first time – in December 2009.

7. India won all major ICC Trophies under his captaincy , One day World cup , T20 Worldcup , ICC Champions Trophy

8. Captain of Most Successful IPL Team Chennai Super KIngs.

9. The Best FInisher in ODI and T20

10. Has the highest run-aggregate as Indian captain – 3454 runs in 60 Tests. Interestingly he surpassed the previous record holder Sunil Gavaskar in  Melbourne Test after which he announced his retirement!

 

Apart from performance in overseas tests ( which all indian captains suffered ) , he is the best indian captain till to date. even other team captains find it tough to win on indian soil.
