Special-Package For Andhra Pradesh To Be Announced By August-End

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of a Rs 1.25 lakh crore package to Bihar has triggered speculation among official circles that AP’s case for special status or huge financial assistance will also be considered positively by the NDA government.

 

Only a couple of days back, Union minister of state for science and technology Sujana Chowdary had said that a financial package was on the anvil and may be announced by August-end.

 

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will be meeting the PM on Thursday specifically on the special status issue and is expected to raise the state’s needs in various sectors.
