difficult situation... do you know is the short circuit caused by your negligence or problem in existing wiring?

It should be taken care by him only. Since you moved it from it's original place he can blame you as well. So alteast 30 and 70 chesukomanu. I can't do more than that Ani cheppu

Did you sign a Rental Lease agreement? Does it state anything on the repairs? Normally, all the repair is taken care by home owner if its due to normal wear and tear. Any accidental damage will anyway be deducted from the deposit.

 

The short circuit seems to be normal wear and tear...Call him and tell him to get this fixed else you will send a Exit notice as house is not suited for living. Wat state r u ? check for local housing laws.

 

If cash in hand rent and no lease written, then you and house owner need to come to an understanding.
