In the wake of AP government getting ready for land acquisition in the state capital region tomorrow, some of the villagers of Undavalli, Penumaka, Bethapudi & other River front villages have staged protest at Mangalagiri in Guntur district. Jana Sena party activists have also staged protest against land acquisition act . The protesters have performed 'Palabhishekam' on the photo of Pawan Kalyan. Farmers, while interacting with the media said that they respect Pawan Kalyan's ideology and they will oblige him, whatever decision he takes on land acquisition. The farmers have also hinted at intensifying the stir, if the situation demands.

Nearly 45,000 farmers, who have given their lands to the government, for the building of the capital city, are angry with Pawan Kalyan. They said that he is trying to protect the interests of three per cent of the farmers, who are refusing to give their lands. He is not bothered about the 97 per cent farmers who have already given their lands, they observed.

Pawan Kalyan should ask farmers to give the lands, said AP minister Narayana. He said that land acquisition was stopped for a long time because Pawan Kalyan requested them not to trouble the farmers. The farmers have given over 33,000 acres and 2,200 acres is yet to be acquired, he said. The cost of the land has increased two-fold, he added.
