Both are like "Krishna-Arjunala" Yuddham. Krishna is Toyoto and Nissan is Arjun.

 

Both are very good SUV with 7 seaters and 4 wheel drive. These Drive better than Minivans (koncahm KICK vuntadi). Very good deals going on to.

 

Its personal choice between these 2. I have a Nissan Pathfinder. 

 

Pathfinder:

Good towing capacity.

Good gas mileage.

 

Highlander:

Decent gas mileage.

Driving impressions are somewhat better on Pathfinder, reliability is  normally similar with Japanese cars HONDA-Toyota-Nissan. Test drive both the cars and then decide. Looks wise too, its a personal preference. 

 

Nissan has CVT engines which are somewhat beteer on Performance. (pickup), Totoyo is quiet and low road noise.

I dont need towing capacity.. I am looking for reliability and comfortable driving..

Y isn't Honda Pilot is not even in ur list? Touring model offers a lot new stuff which isn't available in its competitors!
