Title: Lead Software Engineer

Location: Elk Grove, CA

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary: Total Comp w/ bonus $120K



RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead team providing technical and specialized guidance in Enterprise SOA related topics.
• Provide leadership in the planning, analysis, design, coding and testing of Enterprise services and components for enterprise use in application programs.
• Responsible for ensuring application systems are in compliance with security, development policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with execution or performance, taking ownership of the issue when triage indicates a problem with SOA products.
• Utilize technical knowledge to partner with the Business Analysts to translate business and functional requirements into detailed design from overall system architecture down to code level design
• Consistently apply business and technical knowledge to help establish, maintain and enforce technical direction and standards
• The primary role for this position is
o Defining the development tasks and estimates for completion
o Developing the software code for the applications
o Developing the unit testing code for the applications
o Working with the testing team to validate the applications
o Participating in the product team scrums
o Utilizing knowledge of current systems/architecture along with knowledge of industry best practices and trends to provide scalable and robust solutions to emerging business requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project design team and function as a Subject Matter Expert to development staff on use of frameworks, practices and business continuity
• Assist architects in researching new technologies. Provide technical mentoring and guidance to other members of the development team
• Should be open to learn new technologies, Work independently with limited supervision, possess cross functional skills, excellent time management skills to deliver under strict timelines and ability to plan and co-ordinate across teams/departments. 
• Oversee and supervise the daily activities of the Shared Technology development team.


Job Qualifications / Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of experience in software product development
• Required:
o Java, JEE, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring JPA, JMS, Maven, Junit, JMock, Spring Unit testing framework, Apache, Tomcat.
o Oracle, MySQL, Hibernate, SOLR, Memcached, MongoDB, jUnit. 
o Solid experience designing and developing REST services using Spring MVC.
o SVN.


• Desirable:
o Spring HATEOS
o HAL
o Spring Data
o Spring Boot
o JWS
o NOSQL experience
o Big Data technologies
o SOAP, WSDL
o XML, XPATH, XSLT
o SAML, OATH
o JavaScript , Angular, JQuery
o Agile practices, (unit testing, TDD, CI, etc)
o Experience with automated testing tool such as SOAP UI.
• SDLC Experience with:
o Source control (Subversion, Git)
o Eclipse 
o Automated unit testing (JUnit)
o Build systems (Maven/Ant)
o Agile scrum development, 
o Continuous integration (Jenkins)
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
