athletics Posted August 26, 2015 Author Report Posted August 26, 2015 and an amazing road network. I dont know much about TN but Combined AP has one of the best road networks in India, the worst I have seen are in Maharastra and karnataka which i have extensively travelled by road. You take any national highway, once it enters AP it is in a different league. Name it chennai - nellore - guntur- vijayawada-vizag Or hyd- bombay, hyd- bangalore or hyd-vijaywada. Many times i travelled by road i could tell that we had crossed AP border with out looking at the road(feeling the bumpy ride)

AP doesn't. couple of high profile roads doesn't mean much. how many roads from vijayawada to vizag? vij to hyd? just one? TN has atleast 2 National/State highways between most huge towns and chennai there's not much connectivity to ports, no train originating from vizag, etc. so much room to improve.

I would rather have one decent multi lane higway than many medicore ones. Hyd-vijaywada is one of the best highways I have seen in india after mumbai-pune express way. Even vijaywada-vizag is pretty decent

NH-5 , NH-7 and NH-9 3 major highways which are very much wide run through telugu states from last 15 yrs (except for hyd - bza highway line which was delayed on political grounds) vijayawada railway station is one of the busiest junction and has connectivity to all over india..

VizagRocks Posted August 26, 2015 Report Posted August 26, 2015 TG/AP have the advantage of starting off, so their govts can give better incentives for industries to be set up there. and also work closely with industrialists, get work done swiftly, which MH/TN cannot do. Foxconn is an exception. I always thought they'd go to TG/AP. land acquisition is a huge problem in TN, even when most of the state is just dry land.
