even the top 2nd city is struggling to have a viable metro.

 

both of us are arguing for different things. you trying to put down vijayawada. me trying to put down all cities in India.

I m only talking about priorities for Vijayawada ?

 

Vijayawada does not even have a under ground drainage or proper roads ..tell me if Vijayawada has a proper 2 lane road anywhere in core area ??  First expand roads and improve infrastructure ,add flyovers. and ease congestion . .. .it will take care of the traffic for next 10 years..Metro can wait .It hardly take 20 mins to travel from one to other end of town

.. singapore or Japan will come forward to build metro (if it is profitable)even if you don't invite them

hmm.. for tier 2/3 cities, both vizag and vijayawada have decent civil infrastructure by indian standards.

 

its another problem if the city expands.

 

anyway, getting or not getting the metro has nothing to do with viability of it. 

 

I agree that Vijayawada/Vizag should have other priorities.

metro is useless for chennai/mumbai unless the network is expanded.

 

its okay for Hyderabad/Bangalore because the cities are still growing. and even the airports are so far from the city.

 

its a great idea for Vijayawada now, because it'll connect 3-4 towns around it.

 

ofcourse, not as a private venture. metro as a private venture is just silly.

state govt should stop spending on the capital, and spend on projects like metro by itself, atleast for Vijayawada/Amaravati

pathodu vagevade..ya may b metro is not needed as of now but the plan is to connect 3 cities..proper drainage n roads leva..lol..ekkado seppava kodiga? And 20 mins from end to other..looks like u r using a helocopter..lol
