 In the neck and neck fight between TDP and YSRCP in Seemandhra, 2.06 per cent votes made the difference.

The TD got only 2.06 per cent more votes than the YSRCP but it was enough for the party to win 35 more Assembly seats and come to power.

Out of the total 175 Assembly seats in Seemandhra, the TDP won 102 and the YSRCP won 67. TD polled 1,33,72,862 votes against the YSRCP’s 1,27,71, 323.

The difference between the two parties was only 6,01,539 votes but this was enough for the TD to get 35 more seats. YSRCP got 44.47 per cent votes and TDP got 46.3 per cent, a difference of 2.6 per cent.

The victory margins were quite small. For 26 seats that the YSRCP won and 14 seats that the TD won, the margin was between 100 and 5000.

In the Mangalagiri Assembly constituency in Guntur district, YSRCP candidate Alla Ramakrishna Reddy won with a majority of only twelve votes.

This was the lowest margin in all 294 Assembly segments in the combined state. The YSRCP won six Assembly segments and the TD won two seats with majorities of less than 1000 votes.

With a margin of 1,000 to 3,000 votes, the YSRCP won eight seats (Pamarru, Santhanuthalapadu, Uravakonda, Koduru, Palamaneru, Palakonda Tiruvuru and Aluru).

The TDP won seven seats (Anaparthy, Darsi, Jaggayyapet, Rayadurg, Vemuru, Payakaraopet, Narsipatnam).
With vote margins of 3,000 to 5,000 votes YSRCP won 12 seats (Nandyal, Sullorpet, Kandukuru, Macherla, Patapatnam, Chandragiri, Srisailam, Addanki, Kurnool, Guntur-east, Vijayawada – West, Prattipadu (E.G. District).

TDP won five seats (Singanamala, Udayagiri, Rajol, Echherla and Satyavedu)
