New Game of Thrones theory will split your head

In the history of TV shows and books, Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire) is perhaps the one with the highest number fan theories and speculations. And why would it not be, it is anyday the most complex story ever written with innumerable possibilities. Maybe that is what makes the show such a hit.

 

Fans keep coming up with latest theories to try to figure out what happened before the story started only so that we get some insight into what the producers are planning. However, this latest one is the best we have heard so far.

You may already be familiar with the R+L=J theory which has been around ever since the beginning of time. (Spoilers ahead) According to the theory, Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark were the real parents of Jon Snow. Lyanna died during childbirth and it came upon Ned Stark to raise Jon as his 'bastard child' to save his life.

However, this new theory says that Lyanna gave birth to twins! 

 

The only two people to survive the war on the Tower of Joy, where Lyanna gave birth, were Ned and Howland Reed. Reed? Yes you have heard that name before. Remember Bran's warg friend and his badass sister we last saw in season 4?

 

Turns out R+L=J+M! Take a minute to digest that. Jon and Meera were taken away by Ned and Howland respectively. Howland had several daughters so it is not totally impossible for Meera to live all that long without drawing attention.

Now what are the evidences to support this theory?

Well just look at them! They look more twins than Jaime and Cersei. However, these are just actors playing the characters, but then again, the show's creaters have known the way the story will proceed since the beginning and perhaps that is why they chose such similar looking actors to play the parts.

 

According to Wiki of Ice and Fire, the two are also of the same age! Seriously. It lists the year of Lyanna's death as 283AC, same as the birth year of Meera. Both Meera and Jon are 15 years old at the beginning of the book. 

 

Too Star Wars? Many have thought the same and are not very convinced with the theory.
