athletics Posted August 28, 2015 Report Posted August 28, 2015 http://youtu.be/7PwmfHYhY6c Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is likely to fix Rs 50 per house per month as garbage collection charges once the 2,500 tippers become operational and the waste collection starts. As of now, colonies are paying between Rs 50 and Rs 100 per month per house. The corporation has planned to fix a rate which will be paid to the garbage collectors on a monthly basis with no additional charges unless the resident voluntarily pays extra. The corporation has procured 2,500 tippers for colonies and tricycle for bastis. After the tippers are sold under the driver-cum-owner scheme, the payment for collection will be implemented. Officials of the health and sanitation wing say the same practice of the apartment watchman or the colony waste collection in-charge collecting garbage from every house and dumping it at a spot for clearance will continue. Waste at the community dustbins will be lifted daily. Each driver is likely to be given around 800 households. In the initial months, the amount will be collected by the driver in bulk in case of apartments.
