If the problem is pertaining to only the priests, the Govt should take initiative to increase their salaries (or some other means to compensate), but caste based reservation or linking priests conditions to caste based reservation is not a solution. Reservation in the early days was for people who have been oppressed (not based on economic backwardness). Muslims are in pathetic conditions too. Both the Muslims and Brahimins should not come under reservation because they were ruling elite for centuries. Brahmins never ruled anyone, don't compare Brahmins to the other religion you mentioned above.
