The government has suspended 21 officials of Nalgonda Municipality on the charges of corruption. Vigilance officials investigation revealed that Rs 3.32 crore funds were misappropriated. The municipality was under the administration on special officer from 2008 to 2014. The officials swindled taxes and diverted the money to their personal bank accounts. Municipal Chairperson B Lakshmi and Commissioner Alivelu Manga requested the the government to conduct an inquiry into the scam. Two officials were suspended earlier and swindled funds will be recovered from them.
