63-foot Ganesh idol is being readied for Vinayaka Chavithi festival in the premises of Ghantasala Government Music College in Vijayawada. Organisers of Dundi Ganesh Seva Samithi are setting up the tallest idol in Vijayawada. Chennai-based sculptors, who were behind making of Ganesh idol at Khairatabad in Hyderabad, have been roped in for designing and building Ganesh idol. Sculptors are making the idol with clay and environmental-friendly colours. Samithi members said that they are inviting Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to perform first puja for Ganesh idol on the festival day.
