In a latest gruesome incident, an elderly American Sikh man of Indian origin named Inderjit Singh Mukker has been brutally assaulted by an American and was even called "bin Laden" and "terrorist". The incident, which is being seen as a racist crime, took place on Tuesday in Chicago.Inderjit Singh was on his way to a grocery store and he was repeatedly cut off by a driver. The elderly Indian man, a father of two, gave way to the driver but instead, the man pulled up to his car and started shouting racial slurs like "Terrorist, go back to your country, bin Laden," before aggressively punching Inderjit in his face, leaving him unconscious.Inderjit was immediately rushed to a hospital in an unconscious state, with severe blood loss and a fractured cheekbone. He received six stitches and underwent treatment for lacerations and bruises. The police took the suspect in to custody. This attack gains more prominence as the country is gearing for the 14th anniversary of 9/11 attacks that rocked the entire world.
