Hats Off To Bhageeratha Babu

 

 

 

AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has scripted a memorable chapter in the state's irrigation history. Thanks to his relentless efforts in the much discussed Pattiseema project, Chandrababu finally managed to let the state witness a memorable confluence of two of most important rivers in the state, Krishna and Godavari.

This morning, 600 cusecs of Thatipudi Godavari river waters from the Polavaram right canal entered Krishna district at Pallerlamudi, and they will merge with the Krishna waters by this evening. The Godavari waters will travel 174 kilometers along the Polavaram right canal before the final confluence with Krishna waters. Apart from this, 350 cusecs of water will be released from the Pattiseema irrigation project.

A large contingent of farmers from the Krishna Delta and TDP leaders like Devineni Uma, Chintamaneni Prabhakar and Maganti Babu welcomed the Godavari waters at Pallerlamudi with traditional rituals. The elated farmers and the leaders even took a dip in the Godavari waters. Thousands of acres of farm lands will be benefitted with the Thatipudi waters even before the Pattiseema project is ready with its operations.
