H-1B Filing Fee- No More Extra $2000 Filing fee SEPTEMBER 14, 2015

In August 2010, USCIS has implemented Public Law 111-230 which requires H-1B dependent employers to pay an additional fee of $2,000.

This fee is only applicable to the employers who has 50 or more employees and has more than 50% of h-1b visa employees.

Here is the Good News ! This law is expiring on September 30, 2015. So, from October 1st 2015, the H-1B visa dependents will not be paying the additional fee of $2,000.

Here is the breakdown of the current H-1B Fees.

USCIS Fees

Base Filing Fee $325 USCIS Anti Fraud Fee $500 ACWIA Education and Training Fee $750 ( For employers less than 25 employees)or $1500 (For employees more than 25 employees) Public Law 111-320 Fee (till Sep 30, 2015) $2,000 Premium Processing (Optional) $1,225

Removal of this fee will reduce a huge burden on small companies / consultancies who are H-1B dependents.
