The G.O. is stupid, and the people who were sleeping for so long to fight the G.O., equally stupid.

 

I think the G.O. can be amended to exclude class 9, 10 students or add a 3rd language to class 9, 10 exams. There's no other way.

 

Hope TN doesn't behave like Karnataka.

It is okay to impose tamil in schools, just not at the student's expense at public examinations.

 

The other thing they can do is, declare state ranks only for students with Tamil as second language.

Obviously they can't lower the standard of Tamil taught at schools in 9th, 10th, just so the students taking Tamil can compete with students taking sanskrit, French, etc.

Either way, its BS that State/Central govts have a say in what we teach our kids. Fcuk them. 

 

They are free to impose Tamil in state govt funded schools, not on everyone.

 

I wonder why TN elite is silent on this issue. This is a serious blot on TN's image as a friendly state.
