Officials are reluctant to work in Nellore district due to the alleged political pressure. In the past, officers queued up to work in the district due to low crime rate and other reasons. Opposition parties alleged 4 higher officials who refused to toe the line of ruling party were transferred recently. It is said that the present Collector Janaki would be transferred soon. Janaki was reportedly pained by the indifferent attitude of Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana
