Due to heavy rains in the upper reaches, Godavari river is in spate in West Godavari district. As such 17 villages in Polavaram mandal are cut off and transport is badly affected. As roads are waterlogged and are resembling lakes. The villagers are carrying their bikes, water cans etc., across the water on rafts. Tractors are being driven across the water.
