Mission Kakatiya, the brainchild of KCR, has yielded rich results in Nalgonda district. Lakes that were blocked with wasteful weeds and silt, were desilted and restored. Added to this were the recent heavy rains, that filled the lakes to the brim and helped in the cultivation of crops. All lakes in Thungathurthi mandal in Nalgonda district are filled, much to the delight of the farmers.
