Pattiseema Won't Help Rayalaseema!

While Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and his colleague at the Centre Uma Bharati have been lavishing praises AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the Pattiseema project linking Godavari river with Krishna and even describing Naidu as a “national pride,” their own party colleague Daggubati Purandeshwari has described Naidu as hoax.

Purandeshwari, who happens to be sister-in-law of Chandrababu Naidu, said the Pattiseema project had been given a lot of publicity, but it would be of no use to Rayalaseema, as claimed by the TDP leaders or the State government.

“How can Pattiseema supply water to Rayalaseema, which gets water only from Galeru Nagari and Handri-Neeva projects? Pattiseema can only take water up to Krishna delta,” she said.

She criticized that had the Naidu government concentrated on Polavaram project, he would have avoided spending of huge amount of money on Pattiseema and the water woes of the Rayalaseema people would have been permanently solved.

At least now, Naidu should complete the Polavaram project with commitment, she said.
