Yea , ask ur mesthri to file fresh H1 as inhouse or join kalasala..

U are not out of status.
Your h1 is still valid but only within the MSA where ur h1 was approved

Technically, if the amendment is denied, the underlying petition is still valid. In u r case u r H1 is valid till 2017 ... but u need to reapply or extend u r H1.
