Now you are illegally driving the car, so court lo case ki pothe you will be found guilty. First evidence, you are not on the contract. Second, manam ganaka arguments ki pother your demeanor might say that you did the accident.

Mostly rental car people will leave case to outside parties to investigate who will have access to police record...they are public.

i appreciate that you will pay all the expenses and pay your friend for the jacked up premiums.. but be careful ... it is always better to pay money for damages and have that in record for 3 years rather than get into the insurance records and or police records as FRAUD and "pay" much bigger price.... Accidents are common and they don't happen intentionally.. hence they are accidents.. so dont try to cover up things now that may lead to bigger complications in the future .. you are not authorized to drive the rental.. so you insurance doesnt cover anything.. and i dont know how much information the cops have ( your license and insurance??) .. so be aware... and don't try to hide anything.. any miscommunication ( nomatter how minor it is or whether intentional or unintentional) may be misconstrued as fraud..
