odarper Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 How is Srimanthudu bad for Super Star Mahesh Babu - In So Many ways, it's very bad for Mahesh's Career Despite the collections, hungaama, record release...after seeing the movie, though i'm a huge super star Fan, i felt let down, movie is kind of boring & nothing much except the story loosening towards the end.. Srimanthudu is just a mediocre film, felt almost like watching 80's film with its outdated script..but still it had those GOOSEBUMP Moments, Spectacular Camera Work, Good songs & not to forget the chemistry between the lead couple. Srimanthudu Hit ayyindante - it's only because of one thing, Mahesh has turned out to be a Bigger Super Star than just being the actor alone, Only a SUPER STAR with such a Big Image can pull it off to be such a stupendous boxoffice HIT. 'Srimanthudu's' title should have been 'Srimanthudi Koduku/Bidda' as the real Srimanthudu in the movie is Jagapathi Babu who lets his son to donate & do all the charity at all levels. People have forgotten these kind of movies which were a regular staple in the 70's & 80's,they didn't do well as those hero's couldn't carry that burden of Image & no other actor in those roles from previous generations had this kind of fan following as Mahesh does now. Although there are so many footfalls for Srimanthudu - it was possible only because of Mahesh, the Craze surrounding the movie, all the hungaama & hoopla in media, & a relatively old wine in new bottle with all the grandeur presented in the movie & how is it bad..like me most of them didn't like the movie on the whole though it had its moments like told before, so the common public are not really happy & for the next movie of Mahesh to generate this kind of revenues, it really has to be good & not a mediocre movie by any length
