puli_keka Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 Go read history man. Mee meda meedha katthi petti evadu kalavamani cheppaledhu ga? quoting from an article In 1953, the Telangana region did not want to be part of the Andhra state that was carved out then. But, the demand to remain as a separate state was pushed aside and Telangana region was made part of the Andhra Pradesh state.

In Hyderabad assembly out of 174 MLAs On 3 December 1955, 147 MLAs expressed their view. 103 MLA's (including Marathi and Kannada MLAs) supported the merger, 16 MLAs maintained neutral stand and 29 opposed merger. Among Telangana MLAs, 25 Telangana MLAs disagreed with the merger, 59 Telangana MLAs supported the merger. Out of 94 Telangana MLAs in the assembly, 36 were Communists(PDF), 40 were Congress, 11 were Socialist party(SP), 9 were independents.

They should have been more assertive in thier opposition than supporting reluctantly

It was a seperate state anyways, seperation of andhra from tamilnadu led indian gov to do this, otherwise merger of AP with TG would have never happened to begjn with
