Spartan Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Vizag East MLA Velagapudi Rama Krishna Babu of the Telugu Desam created a ruckus at the Secretariat on Monday, breaking a glass and throwing a file at the office of AP municipal administration secretary Karikal Valavan, when he was meeting foreign delegates. He was angry that the officials had not accepted the proposal to acquire 10 acres of land for the construction of houses for victims of the Hudhud Cyclone. Mr Babu broke a glass and abused the staff and at one stage flung a file at the staff. The MLA barged into the chamber when Mr Valavan was at a meeting with foreign delegates. Mr Karikal told the MLA that if the file comes to him, he would accept it without any delay. The MLA came to the secretary's chamber in the morning but did not get an appointment, and returned at 4 pm. Then, too, the secretary was in a meeting with foreign delegates. When informed of this, the MLA started abusing the staff and said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had already accepted the file and the officials were delaying orders. In the past, the MLA had openly expressed anger at the CM’s principal secretary Satish Chandra on the transfer of revenue divisional officers. When contacted, the MLA said that he was not angry with the secretary, he scolded the staff for their behaviour.
