For all Greenspan's smugness, he didn't deserve to be shouted at. Even considering the depression his policies brought on the US.

I suspect he was really pissed off and at awe at Greenspan the same thing. It came from disappointment that such a brilliant mind wasn't agreeing with him.

 

Or perhaps he read Ayn Rand the day before.

 

Sanders also seems  misinformed about the financial world. Its obvious from the kind of questions he asks Bernanke few years later.
