Spielberg already said..hollywood is gonna implode in the near future..unless studios start to invest in original content as well.

 

there are few directors who still stick to original film making though...Scorcesse,Gullermo del toro,blomkampp,David O russel,Tarantino,Nolan

 

but then studios only invest on their films beacuse of their name brand.
