Following the intense backlash from Akkineni fans since last night, the makers of Akhil, Akhil Akkineni's debut film, met the press to convey their sincere apologies to fans for the sudden postponement of the film. Producer Sudhakar Reddy, director VV Vinayak and Nagarjuna spoke to the press and revealed the main reason behind the delay.

Nagarjuna said that after the breathtaking visual effects in Baahubali, audiences are expecting to watch high-standard visual effects and that since the team did not like the VFX work in Akhil, they had no other option but to postpone.

Nag also said that he is confident that whichever Akhil releases will be the best date and expressed full confidence about the film becoming a superhit. Producer Sudhakar Reddy firstly apologized to Akkineni fans for the unexpected postponement and said that Akhil will become a huge hit whenever it releases.
