soLLu_star Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 All the VIP guests attending the foundation stone laying ceremony will be gifted one Uppada silk saree each as a token of appreciation for their presence at the do. According to sources, officials are making purchases directly from the saree weavers at Uppada, Kottapalli and Vakatippa villages. However, the number of sarees that were purchased is not known, as the saree weavers were strictly instructed to keep it under wraps. All the lady MLAs, MPs and other VIPs will be gifted these sarees. Sources said that sarees ranging from Rs. 5000 – Rs. 50,000 were ordered and close to Rs. 1 Cr was spent on the sarees.
