I don't agree with the tone of the article, equating Mumbai and Chennai protests. There's a huge difference.

 

Mumbai protests are done by political heavyweights.

 

Chennai protests are done by complete outsiders to TN politics.

But I agree that both Mumbai and Chennai should be banned for a few years from hosting international matches.

 

May be then, the cities can weigh the pros and cons of such politics.

A better way to protest is with black flags when srilankan cricketers are playing.

 

silent, non-violent protest. and the govt. in TN must make sure that such protests are allowed in the stadium.

 

no problem if it bothers the srilankans. They can then chose to boycott Chennai.
