The Centre has allocated Rs. 663 crores under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) to AP, for this year, said Union minister Venkaiah Naidu. As a first installment it will release Rs. 66 crores. Drinking water and other facilities will be improved in 26 cities in AP, including Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Kakinada. Amaravita will also be included in AMRUT project soon, he added.
