 well said.....first of all they should regulate these OPT's..i dont uderstand why they extended to 36 months now,,,,i seen few of my friends who completed ENgg in 6 years and stayed home for couple years and failed in businness..comming to US  for some stupid Univ. getting CPT and OPT (I dont have problam with this)

 

But these counsultencies taking advantage of these type of people..paying them very very cheap( i mean literally) making them slaves,

damaging the payrate. previously i use to think people who come to US on H1B work for low salary but now a days these OPT people are doing same. All these is because of these consultencies.....they are forming 2 to 3 layers between clinent and employer. 

 

Now a days i am receving calls from vendors looking  only for OPT cadidates so that thye can have bigger margins.

3. But thery are forcing american's out of work.

I may be the only Indian out of a billlion people sympathizing with you. Do not believe them when they say Indians are smart/intelligent/geniuses. That is something you have been forced to believe just so that you shut up. The only solution is to migrate to a country where there are not many Indians (Easy to look one up. Just search for a third-world country without much technology). And buy a ticket for me too. I shall relinquish my citizenship and come with you. CITI_c$y

nobody crying on anyone...just saying not to get desperate and work for lowpay rates and not make money for counseltencies insted  make it for ur self....

this will not only effects it also affects other people...

these companies needs u...as u need them... so why u have to work for low payrates for then. dont play into their hands

 

Now a days even vendors looking for OPTS,,,,,that says some thing about situation.

 

when i am on OPT they use to filter and lot of questions to find i have real experiance r not.....now they want only fake OPTs so they can double their margin.

 

$70-75/hr job is now $45/hr(before employer persentages and tax) ...thats the present situation.

 

Now one is earning money ..except consultencies
