For Ct State dmv rules
I have 30 days to change my car registration and 60 days for Dl change.

If you don't change it and if u get caught for out of state registration u will say I just recently moved. The the cop may give u warning or ticket and will give you time to change ur registration and Dl. U may have to send the proof of your registration change and Dl change along with address proof to them to remove the warning and or ticket from your record. It's a mess. Worst case Just spend one whole day in dmv to get the registration and Dl to change.

My previous car registration was in alaBama where based on your last name they would give you car registration anytime between 3 months to 1 year. And Dl is based on your valid status either f1 or i797 if h1. But in ct they give license for 6 years from the day u apply. Irrespective of ur visa validity or passport expiration. Registration is for 2 years.
