Sql Server Dba And Developers

Today oka issue 3 4 hours time waste chesindi. Prod server ni dev lo restore cheyataniki oka script ichadu dbas. Direct ga ssms window lo run cheste it will execute. But aa script lo one statement is
Alter database @$!#/ authorization \&*( Ni vundi. Basically owner change ayyindi dani valla. And some views are calling functions from diff database in the same server but that database has a different owner than the one that is restores. Both the owners are sysadmin accounts that has only dbos as members in it. Result was ownership chaining and other access issues that opened up a can of worms.

So in future please check ownership chaining issues when accessing different databases .. it's one of the basic thiNGS dbas should have taken care of. But they didn't.
