I've already talked about this in one of the previous comments in this same thread.

it doesn't matter if upper caste people are poor. Are they overrepresented in govt? yes.

is it good for the society when in case of a conflict, upper caste police, judges, local govt reps all conspire to indict the lower castes?

will people even trust such officers, if they are all from the castes which have oppressed them for long in the same area?

that is why 'merit' in govt jobs or educational institutes is such a BS argument.

same goes for reservation below poverty line. its a stupid idea as well.

Assumption? Hmm interesting..I opened a thread some time back for donation to save a child, can you please get into that and make a guess who is from lower and upper caste...that's exactly what I am saying we do not wish to change ourselves but others.. Any ways I wish people come out of this caste hysteria soon..

you can be neutral, but asking for equal treatment is not being neutral. First understand that. Accepting consequences of whatever happens is being neutral.

 

in a race between hare and a tortoise, you can't claim that the tortoise will win if its relentless and that the race should start from the same point for both of them. Its not a neutral claim. It is just wishful thinking.

 

a neutral is one who doesn't mind if by hook/crook the tortoise got such a headstart that the hare cannot keep up. or one who doesn't care who wins the race.
