10/19/2015: Group of House Members Letter of 10/28/2015 to DOS & DHS Secretaries on Revised Octiber Visa Bulletin & I-140 EAD/Portability

• These members of the House of Reporesentatives ask the DOS and DHS to give a relief for those who relied on the original October Visa Bulletin and failed to take care of their nonimmigrant ancillary legal status and also ask the DOS and DHS to implement I-140 approved foreign workers and their spouses EAD and portability pending the immigrant visa number availability.
• Unlike the DHS original agenda, the I-140 EAD reform as part of modernization of legal immigration reform is experiencing delays in the rule-making process. Its rule-making agenda indicated that the DHS might initiate the proposed rule making process in October 2015.
