No man employer has right to revoke any time, you cant sue him on this! First option is to find a status to stay in US, I mean get admission in any Univ and change to F1 or any B1 visa(not sure how B1 visas work). How did he know that H1 was revoked? Best bet is to take an appointment with Immi Advocate ASAP(better Sheela Murthy - they charge 200 for appointment but its worth) and take advise. I do not believe anything like grace period stay(as far I know, there is nothing like grace time once H1 revoked), you have to leave the county ASAP. Good Luck !

ParmQ Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 NOT a single day grace period although many assume that they give you 10 days. You have to file a COS before you get laid off to avoid going out of status and therefore avoid any potential problems in the future if you want to return to US. Some people might have not had any problems in the past during good times if they were out of status for 3 or 4 days but many are having problems in recent times. So take this seriously and file COS before you are laid off. Consult an experienced attorney. Some one wrote that above one, man. better contact some legal expert.
