VC's have a more important part to play than just investing money , they guide and provide them with valuable other resources without which 99.99% of the startups just fail ...these crowd funded startups won't have access to any of this obviously To get a better idea about this just look at failed Kickstarter projects , people buy products on Kickstarter hoping that the'll get good products but many of them just go bankrupt before even they start manufacturing the product , people lose money on failed Kickstarter projects all the time . this is very similar but at a bigger scale ...
