How do these people expect muslims to be patriotic with the way they are being treated That is because Hindus are very insecure. You can't expect an insecure + largely uneducated population to react in a mature manner. public figures should think twice before mouthing off nonsense. When its so easy these days to back 'intolerance' comment with stats, why fall back on rhetoric, or personal experiences? You expect people to be mature in their reactions, I expect such discussions to be more scientific. I have no problem if someone makes the stupid comment of asking SRK to go back to Pakistan, as a response to his stupid comment on intolerance.

India lo intolerance perigindi. so what? ask the social scientists to find a direct relation to increase in incidences of violence against minorities (doubtful), to the increase in intolerance. by itself, intolerance itself is not a bad thing. I don't trust fiction writers, and movie stars as great judges of society they live in. intolerance leads to violence kada.. take any wars happening across the world right now... arent they all due to intolerance?

If his contention is that muslim's/minorities are under increased stress now, its an irresponsible comment to make. and he deserves flak from his opponents. as usual, he'll have a number of supporters too. So I think all's well, and on top of it, he's made his political point, and gained some brownie points. muslims do face discrimination in India, and its a serious issue. SRK by speaking about it in a clueless way, trivializes it. Since most of this discrimination is only economic, and India is still nowhere close to being a modern capitalistic society, muslims are not the only ones to face such discrimination. I doubt muslims face social discrimination, the ways dalits do. which is way worse.

Why should anyone tolerate something as stupid as a religion?

You be part of mainstream, if you want to set the agenda, or just play second fiddle to the majority. this minority pandering is a big nuisance to public policy making in India. Even minorities are confused about what they want, and the elite among them come up with silly statements like SRK did.

I mean, why should they hate pakistan? Why you need to support Pakistan even they are encouraging all the organizations which are threat to India's internal security. Why don't they feel same way and give us the culprits who killed people in Mumbai or punish them there. Is there any added advantage if you support Pak and even though they are encouraging all these organizations? if you still want there is nothing wrong to call them as Pakisthan agent in my opnion..
