Sam Manekshaw Recalls How Nehru Was Indecisive In Defence Of Kashmir

Sam Manekshaw recalls how Nehru was indecisive in defence of Kashmir. It was only because of swift thinking of Sardar Patel and his firm stand that our troops could be rushed to Kashmir in time to save at least half of it.
Had it not been for Sardar Patel, we'd have lost entire Kashmir and wouldn't have the right or the claim to declare the other half 'Pak occupied Kashmir'.
The man united an India which was left into over 500 fragments by the Colonial rulers.
Today, on his birth anniversary we ought to make a resolve - not to let any anti-Indian forces, domestic or foreign, break our country again.
