I am thinking that what we are really fighting for easy movement between jobs and allowing natural career progression which of course you can do with an employment based EAD and AC21 as one of the current measures. But USCIS is in the rule making process so we need to wait until what other stuff that they come up with.

However it is strongly suggested by many immigration lawfirms to stay on H-1b status until the 485 (AOS) is approved.

Previously before there were acceptance dates I know there were employees who did not take EAD eventhough their dates were current. I mean they filed for 485 but still kept their H-1b till it was approved. This is just to make sure that they have a legal stay even when their 485 was not approved.

Folks who took EAD either were very sure that their 485 will be easily approved or did not want to deal with getting visa stamping when they want to return back to the U. S. after leaving the U. S.

Obama EA also talks about free movement between jobs and allowing natural career progression which is the need of the hour. If its done via provision of EAD after 140 approval thats fine too. But we should wait until the rule making process and provide input via comments. Thats exactly what the officials on the podium were talking aboout as well that they are in the rule making process and Aman and his group that he is representing can provide their inputs via comments.

But we must remain professional, proceed legally, and make sure our voice is heard via proper channels.

Illegal immigrants majorly are probably not much educated nor do majority of them qualify for high skilled professional employment in the fields that most of the employment based legal immigrants do. So they take it to the streets but comparing us to them is kind of insulting our dignity.

Wont make us look any better in the eyes of USCIS if it does not make matters worse by yelling and being rude infront of media and public.

why are you making harsh and violent comments brother.....your comments are making people die or kill USCIS if they dont give GC.....I agree with you EAD will be given 1 year before GC....people who are behind 2013 should die anamata according to you....

Cannot agree more visa modernization is screwing us big time..no more rapid dates movement like in 2012..now uscis gets accurate demand with new acceptance dates..only last hope 140EAD regulation..

I am tell you truth.. there are so many applications in 2013.

 

if you take 40k desis.in 2013 . it will be 40*2.3=100k.. you divide it by 2.8k .... now all are not eb2 there can

 

be eb3 in this.. folks filing in EB# are so less now.... there are folks with labor wavier... in EB2

 

it will take at minimum 30 years...
