Does it mean, make an app or a some tangible product on your own inside the incubator and if the idea develops well we can go ahead ? Is it like some maker space ? Is it only IT ?

Is it only IT ? the product can be anything , usually its run by an experienced group of people ( like VCs , Angel investors , former founders of successful companies etc ) ... if these guys like your concept they give u an office space for free and provide u with the required guidance and networking , in exchange for it the'l; ask for a stake in your company ..

I don't know if this is the way that really works out for things other than IT... ideas without any prior experiementation don't sustain, people should be provided resources first and then churn out experiments to create the requirement... and we need more Labs for that

VizagRocks Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 It is meaningless to call an incubator as the 'biggest'. Looks like when CBN started something similar in Vizag, people didn't wake up to the awesomeness of an incubator yet.

There are some accelerator programs that may help the entrepreneur come up with the product. But by the time his product hits the market, he would have burned up plenty cash, or given up more than half his stake to those who help him. Software incubators like t-Hub are dime a dozen. Hyderabad itself probably has a couple by now. I don't understand why people are hyping this.
VizagRocks Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 I think Hyderabad is just starting off, and people are showing naive enthusiasm towards this 'startup' thingie. meanwhile in other incubators in IIT D,B,M, IISC, they are working on nanotech products, Hyderabad is stuck with building swanky offices to house investors and sundry.

I was literally awestruck when a father was explaining how his child made an electronic lighting board that summer. Now that doesn't need money, there are people with ambition and they end up in USA but there are USA companies opening only their 'software' branch in India, they are not motivated enough that Indians can do some firmware stuff Here in India kids learn whether Kareena married Saif etc... that true to the core.. my aunt had to shift from Mumbai to Hyd for the same reason... I know one nice startup called butterflyfields in Hyd, looking forward for someting like them
