There have been reports that Namitha has been invited for the IIFA which is to be held in Sri Lanka. However, the actress rejected the offer following the protest from the Tamil film industry. Speaking about this, Namitha said that the IIFA organizers had a meeting with her and offered her a huge sum for a dance in the event. The actress said that she was not floored down by the astounding amount as she respects the sentiments of the Tamils. Namitha, the dream girl of South India, has several films to her credit including Azhagiya Thamizh Magan and Jaganmohini.
