An M.Tech student, Manuvada Vijay, who led a protest against KCR, at a Warangal by-poll campaign meet, is now in Khammam police custody. Vijay hails from Vemulawada in Karimnagar district. The police also took his parents in to custody, it is learnt. All have been sent to Kothagudem police station and from there they will be sent to Hyderabad, it is said. Vijay is also said to have connections with Maoists, it is learnt.

Kothagudem police have released M.Tech students Vijay Kumar and Suman from their custody. Last evening the police had taken both and another Vinay in to custody, for raising anti-TRS slogans, at a poll rally addressed by KCR at Warangal. The arrests were made at Cherla bus stand. Amidst suspicions that the students are involved with Maoists, the police released them today after interrogation.
