Dawood ki ticket istarata..... !!!!

Everybody knows how Andhra Jyothy managing director Vemuri Radhakrishna had transformed into a media bigwig from an ordinary reporter who used to roam around in Hyderabad on a bicycle 15 years ago. His long term association with Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, which catapulted him into a successful entrepreneur, is a known fact.

His gratitude towards Naidu is always reflected in his writings in Andhra Jyothy daily, which is blatantly pro-TDP; perhaps much more than Eenadu promoted by Ch Ramoji Rao, the Raja guru of the party. But on Saturday, Radhakrishna surprised everybody by lambasting Naidu in his edit page column “Kotha Paluku” which he writes with a pseudonym Adithya.

In the column, Radhakrishna went hammer and tongs against Naidu for giving Rajya Sabha ticket to Y S Chowdary alias Sujana Chowdary just because he had helped the party financially. He strongly criticised how Naidu preferred to give RS ticket to an industrialist who was known for dubious “money circulation” methods to get investments and against whom there were several cases of money laundering and violation of company laws pending. He reminded how TDP founder president N T Rama Rao used to keep at bay industrialists and rich sections while giving tickets.

What is more, Radhakrishna wondered whether Naidu would give RS ticket to even Dubai underworld don Dawood Ibrahim if the latter donated a few crores to the TDP. He said Naidu had lost his credibility among the people as well as partymen, by trying to poorly imitate YSR who had gone out of the board to help his supporters.

Well, don’t get the impression that Radhakrishna could dare criticise Naidu because he is a man of virtues. Perhaps, he too might have tried for an RS ticket from Naidu!
