After that 3 yrs of Residency usually Internal Medicine or Primary Care Desis are not taken for surgical specialties unless u are from AIIMS/Maulana Azad 3 yrs of goddu chakiri(80+ hours) Year 1 is super tuff Year 2 and 3 are OK complete patient care duties and classes and research papers Year 3 is most comfort but if you are interested in Fellowship then Year 3 is also super tough You need to prepare applications , recos etc and apply to colleges and whatever small vacation u have will be gone towards attending those interviews But pay is good after passing out Internist avg pay is 200k FT or 160 per hour + expenses on contracts If you are a board certified specialist then it is 250k + and > 200+ expenses on contract
