Supreme Court bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra and Prafulla C Pant have come out with new revealations and the bench distinguished between 'judicial separation' and 'decree of divorce'. The bench of the apex court said that a woman, if not divorced, will be having the right to seek 'stridhan' from her husband and his family members.
It is to be mentioned here that 'Stridhan' is movable or immovable assets that is being received by a woman either before marriage or at the time of marriage or at child birth.
