If one does have the will to power to impose their ideas, they magically become practical. Ramu's ideas have to do with lack of morality, than practicality.

I was hardly 15 when I picked up her book, which a teacher gave me (who I now consider as the worst teacher in the whole world. He's dead). I look back at those times with disgust, at how I treated people around me. Although, I must admit, I scared quite a few people I wouldn't associate with anyway, and was more at peace with myself than I'm now. But I was not a decent person at all. During this time, I met plenty of fellow Randians. And everyone shares some similar characteristics. 1. High opinion of oneselves, based on nothing apart from their existence in the world. 2. Quick to dismiss opinions that even mention collective collaborations. 3. Zero empathy for fellow human beings 4. Simplistic arguments all day long. Eg. Religion sucks, Socialism bad, etc. Ramu, to his credit, is not a pure Randian. He atleast something to fall back on - his filmmaking. It keeps him occupied, and prevents him from reaching the Hall of Fame of Randian fcukers. His lack of involvement in his recent films, may be pushing him more and more into Randian territory, but that is something we'll know in time, depending on how many powerful people he manages to piss off. I can't believe that the false sense of importance that Randians carry around, even works these days. May be Ramu is more humble when he is around people bigger than he is. Anyways, by talking more than he's working, he's just following in the footsteps of his guru Ayn Rand, at being useless at his work. His movies suck, his interviews are preachy. He might as well stop making films, start Ayn Rand school, so all Randians can get together and have an orgy every weekend. saves so much bandwidth.
